Issues obtaning Citizenship

Have trouble with the English language?  There are a few exceptions:

You can take the test in your own language per the 50/20 or 55/15 rule.  That is if you are 50 years old and have been a citizen for 15 year or more; or 55 years old and been a resident for 15 years.

If you are 65 years old and a 20 year resident, then you may even be exempt for the civil test completely.

Other than age and residency requirment, if a doctor determines you are unable to learn English and/or new information for the civics exam, you can be completely exempt. This is easier said then done and best to consult with an attorney before going down this path.
