How do I get a Greencard?
There are generally five paths to get a greencard. There are many ways to walk down each path. The paths are perilous and complex and should only be undertaken with the advice and guidance of a qualified and knowlegable attorney. The ways are:
1. Employment
2. Family
3. Asylum
4. Diversity Visa
5. Investment.
I am here on a B tourist visa but want to stay longer, how can I do that?
Firstly, when you were awarded the visa by the Consulate, you agreed to leave the United States before the expiration of your status, so you need to be careful what actions you take in the United States. This being said, you are able to change your status if it is a bona fide application filed before the expiration of your status (the date on your I-94).
Some options inculde an extension of you B visa, enrolling in a course of study (F-1) or employment (such as an H-1B).
To explore all your options, it would be best for you to call my office to set up a consultation.
